When I was a little girl, I was invited to my best friend Stevie's fifth birthday party with six or seven other children. Stevie had polio, and could only get around by pulling his body across the floor with his arms. As we were all playing, I watched Stevie maneuvering around while all his friends walked, jumped and ran with no trouble whatsoever. I noticed how we were all on a different level than Stevie, too, so I got down on the floor and began pulling myself along, just like my friend. Pretty soon, all the kids were pulling themselves around on the floor! We discovered a new game! Everyone was laughing and having a great time, especially Stevie.
Just then, Stevie's mom called us to the table for birthday cake, and we all made our way down the hall to the dining room, pulling ourselves along the floor. We climbed into our chairs; Stevie's mom lifted him into his.
She was a smart mom. She wasn't offended at what we had done. She could have thought we were making fun of her son, or pointing out his handicap. Instead, as she served me my cake, she leaned over and said, "Thank you, Jacqui, for getting down on the floor with Steve."

God puts opportunities into our lives to stretch our imaginations, getting us out of our comfort zones to do things a little differently. Can we be a friend to others on their level? Are we sensitive to the Holy Spirit, flexible, willing? He will show us new and unique ways to reach children and families with non-threatening, compassionate actions and methods that really make a difference.

"Lord Jesus, use me to reach the misfits; to touch the lives of those who are the least among us. After all, You have declared them to be indispensable. Amen." I Cor. 12:22 NIV

I came tiptoeing into the inner courts, like a child early on Christmas morning. This is where God resides - all is holy.

I stopped in front of His throne, and He asked, "Why are you tiptoeing my child? I know where you are every moment of every day. I know your going out and your coming in. I know your thoughts before you think them, and your prayers before they're uttered. Come... Sit with me, my child."
I stood there, hesitating and looking down. I felt so unworthy to come sit with God. He leaned forward and extended His hand to me. Love radiated from Him and I found it impossible to resist such love.
I placed my hand in His and stepped up to His throne. I sat down next to Him and He folded His arms around me. My head found it's place on His chest. I heard His heartbeat - beckoning - calling me, drawing me. I felt safe and secure wrapped in His love, enjoying the peace and comfort, wondering at the same time how God, the Maker of the universe, who holds all of time in His hand, could love one such as me. This calm constant rhythm that I was hearing, had been beating steadily from before time. God took my hand in His and brought it to His chest, holding it tight.
Without a word He was telling me just how much He loves me.
All of the sudden there was a second heartbeat.... Faint at first. It grew louder. This heartbeat cried out with deep love and anguish. I felt pain and sadness as the second heartbeat grew violently loud! I cried out as I cupped my hand over my ear to deaden the noise. God clenched my hand and I thought it would break. What is this insane heartbeat! Why won't it end! The second heartbeat grew faster, faster. Insanely fast .. Insanely loud. This heartbeat echoed throughout heaven and nothing else could be heard above it. A voice cried out, "FATHER!", and God heard.
"Father! Why have you forsaken me?" My face was wet with tears. God reached down and wiped my tears.
The second heartbeat stopped.
Silence.
Terrifying silence.
I stayed there hiding in God's arms feeling anguish and terror... I wondered, does God cry?
Then I felt a teardrop hit my face.
Who dries the tears of God?
I started to dry His tears, but He met my hand with His, and once again He brought my hand to His chest and said,

Robb and Jacqui Dunham have a heart for "Equipping the New Generation & Families with God's Word & Power!" Each of us have many years of family and children's ministries experience, including 14 years as Children's Pastors and Early Childhood Ministries Directors, and Family Life Pastors, and 8 years as full time family and children's advocates, evangelists and leadership trainers with a nationwide ministry called "SuperKidz 4 Christ!".

When people have THE WINNER, Jesus Christ, living within them, they are winners, too! As our busy schedule at Church on the Hill allows, it is our joy to conduct extended ministry events such as SuperFamily Celebrations, SuperKidz Crusades, Camps, and SuperKidz VBS, as well as single day/evening "Power Parenting" Seminars, "Jump-Starting Your Children's Ministries" Seminars, Teacher/Worker/Leader Enrichment, children's church, family services, and school chapels and assemblies. Our ministry extends cross denominationally as the Lord has allowed us to minister with churches and organizations of the Assemblies of God, Open Bible, Independant Fundamental Churches of America, the Vineyard, Evangelical Presbyterian, Four Square Gospel, Baptist, Calvary Chapel, Nazarene, Church of God, Mennonite, Evangelical Free, Lutheran, Christian Outreach Center, and Methodist churches, and many interdenominational and non-denominational churches. Robb holds a degree in psychology from Bethany College in Santa Cruz, CA. Robb and Jacqui are freelance writers with works published in children's church and children's Sunday School curriculum , books, and various magazines. Publishers include: CharismaLife, Radiant Life, Group Publishing, Ministries Today Magazine, Vital Ministry Magazine, Enrichment Journal, Children's Ministry Magazine, K.E.E.P. Newsletter, and One Way Street News. We have also recorded two children's praise and worship CDs. We are frequent speakers at conferences and seminars. We have two grown children (both of whom serve the Lord Jesus Christ).

 We believe that past acceptance of children's ministry being categorized as glorified baby-sitting for Jesus cannot be tolerated today. Excellence must characterize all ministries to the new generation.

 We believe that children grow spiritually through serious response to the sharing of God's Word. We also believe that children learn by having FUN!!
